Car Window Coverings that Look Hot but Keep Cars Cool

You don't have to be a celebrity to wish for a little privacy inside your car.  You might be having a major meltdown or just simply melting from the intense heat of the sun, we all have those moments when we just want to hide inside a tinted car and will the world to pass us by without a second glance.  Car window coverings are a big hit for those who are all too familiar with these feelings.  From windshield and window tints to sun shades, there are more ways than one to get that mysteriously cool look that you want for your car.

Window tinting is the process of permanently installing a thin film with variations in darkness over your car windows.  Window and windshield tints provide heat rejection, glare reduction and privacy for car passengers and drivers.  The challenge with tinting is the visibility that it provides at night especially in areas that are not well-lit.  Inexperienced drivers may have problems with limited vision at night.  Car sunshades are the alternative car window covering for window tints.

Car sunshades serve the same purpose of protecting drivers and passengers from heat, glare and prying eyes.  However, unlike the window tint, it is temporary and is simply attached to the window with the use of suction cups.  This car window covering is most effective as its mesh fabric provides drivers with maximum visibility to the outside while blocking out up to 99.9% of harmful UV rays.  It is also budget-friendly as it does not require additional installation and maintenance costs.

Price Differences Between Windshield Tinting and Car Sunshades Go Beyond Savings

Most of us find ourselves in a rush everyday, trying to get to and from places in seconds and wanting to cross things off our to-do list, two at a time.  Multitasking seems to be an adjective for the world we live in today.  Given that, we try to find ways to make our day more productive, and our time management more efficient.  This goes true for car maintenance as well.  We might think of going for windshield tints rather than car sunshades so we don't have to spend a long time putting the latter up before we leave the garage or after we park.  However, windshield tinting prices go way beyond most people's budgets and there are certain benefits of car sunshades that you shouldn't overlook.

Windshield tinting is the installation of thin films over car windows and windshields to protect passengers from heat and glare and also to provide more privacy.  The cost of window tinting includes the customization of the tint to the size of your car windows and the thickness and quality of the film that you wish to install.  Windshield tinting prices range from $50 to $200.  You might think this is a good investment, but let's take a look first at car sunshades.

Car sunshades are usually made of mesh or polyester and are designed to keep car interiors cool by deflecting the heat of the sun.  It is usually attached with the use of suction cups that take no more than two to three minutes.  It is also readily available online or at the nearest auto store.  The best thing about car sunshades is that you can easily take it down and store it when not in use.  It will not obstruct or limit your view at night, unlike car tints.  High quality sunshades can be found online for less than $20. It also does not require the additional cost of dismantling, thus giving you more savings from the onset and in the long run compared to windshield tinting prices.

Keeping Kids Safe from the Sun with Small Car Window Sunshades

Babies and small kids keep their own schedules just like regular adults.  Some of them go to school, play soccer afterwards, take supplementary lessons, go to the dentist or have play dates with friends.  Every parent would want to be able to take their children to all of these activities in the most painless way possible.  One problem though is getting to all these activities when the sun is high in the sky and the ride becomes more uncomfortable than usual.  You’ll probably find yourself in the midst of restless kids or crying babies because of skin irritation or dehydration brought about by intense heat.

To be able to protect your princes and princesses, make sure your car windows are equipped with the right sunshades.  Small car window sunshades make great cover for rear windows at the backseat of the car where your little ones are.  It covers just enough space to keep away harmful UV rays while still providing you with enough visibility to the outside.  Given that your kids are your most prized possessions, it will be a great investment to have them in handy whenever the sun decides to make an appearance.

The important thing to note about small car window sunshades is the installation methods to be employed to stick them into the glass.  Kids by nature love to play and especially for colored sunshades, it will look like a great new toy to play with.  Make sure that your sunshade is stuck in place by checking the number of suction cups required for it.  Sunshades of good quality will have suction cups that don’t fall easily, but are easy enough to stick and remove when needed.
